We are Passive House Certified Designers and are members of Elmhurst's Psi-Value Competency Scheme, providing Thermal bridge calculations for the construction industry. 

Thermal Bridging

What Is Thermal Bridging?

Thermal bridging occurs around openings, junctions, or at any point where there is a change in the thermal resistance of the building envelope. The result is increased heat loss, reduced surface temperatures and potential issues with condensation and mould. 

How Are PSI Values Calculated?

We use the latest modelling software to calculate the PSI-Value of the detail (the heat loss) and also the fRsi Value (the potential for condensation and mould growth).

Why Calculate Thermal Bridges?

In the UK & Ireland calculating PSI values will result in a more accurate SAP/DEAP rating and can mean the difference between a pass and a fail. Thermal bridging can account for up to 30% of a total buildings heat loss so its massively important to get accurate thermal bridge calculations.
